Lucia (Love Yourself)
We are excited to bring Lucia (Love Yourself) to the 2023 Atlanta Film Festival! We are in the Music Video block on Sunday, April 23. Lucia (Love Yourself) is a collaboration between filmmaker/animator Elli Maven, fabric artist Sarah Hubbard, and musicians David Ferguson and Dave Martin, together known as Astral Summer.
This project took a year of all our lives to complete. It started out as separate projects, but once they merged the piece gained momentum and evolved into a uniquely beautiful expression of something we all need a reminder of occasionally.
Lucia (Love Yourself) was one of two nominees for the best animation award in the September Cannes World Film Festival juried competition. This festival was a great experience for us and we hope to bring more projects to this festival in the future.
